The finalists of the Wapps .cat Awards 2025/2026 are here!

After a year’s hiatus, the Wapps .cat Awards are back — the competition that recognises and promotes the creation of websites in Catalan, developed by students in the final years of Primària, ESO, Batxillerat and Cicles de Grau Mitjà i Superior across Catalan-speaking territories.
This year, 206 groups entered the competition and were able to bring their digital educational projects to life thanks to the Dotació .cat, an initiative supported by official registrars Cdmon, Dinahosting and Nominalia, who make it possible for these projects to become real websites with their own domain.
You can browse the 15 finalist projects on the Wapps Awards portal.

The jury and assessment
This edition’s jury is made up of professionals from the digital, educational and design sectors: David Blanch, Digital Director at Cdmon; Sandra Serra, Customer Care Manager at Nominalia; Víctor Baños, Commercial Manager at Dinahosting; Neus Baidal, founder and creative director of Saüc Estudi; and Vicent Ferrer, Catalan language teacher, member of the association 1entretants and member of the Accent Obert board of trustees.
When assessing the projects, the jury considered criteria such as the domain name and its coherence with the website’s identity, spelling and correct use of Catalan, structure and usability, and mobile responsiveness. They also evaluated the use of multimedia resources, web accessibility and security.
For projects from the upper secondary and Vocational Training categories, additional criteria were also assessed, including SEO, the inclusion of legal texts and the use of artificial intelligence.
The awards ceremony
The winners will be announced on Friday 22 May during the project defence ceremony before the jury and the awards presentation, which will take place at the Mirador room of the CCCB in Barcelona.
This year the Wapps .cat Awards introduce a brand-new trophy, designed by Saüc Estudi and 3D-produced by CIM UPC. The trophies will be distributed among all winning and finalist schools of this edition, as a memento and recognition of their participation in the competition.
In addition, the finalist teams and winners of each category will receive both an individual and a group prize, in recognition of their work and the project they presented.
The role of teachers
The Wapps .cat Awards would not be possible without the people who accompany students every day, inside and outside the classroom. For this reason, participating teachers will also receive a prize this year, in recognition of their commitment to the digital and linguistic education of new generations.
