ja.cat keeps growing: new features to manage your links

ja.cat is the go-to tool for anyone who wants to make their life a little easier: shorten long links and share them without any hassle.
Following the ja.cat renewal we carried out last 18 March, we’re back with new features. We’ve added new functionality so you can get even more out of your trusted link shortener — free and in Catalan.

Here are the 3 new features we’ve added:
1. Edit long URLs without losing your shortened link
Until now, if the destination page of a link changed, the only option was to create a new one. That’s no longer the case: you can now edit the long URL of an existing link directly, without losing the short address you already had. Especially useful if you share your links in printed materials or publications you can’t edit.
You’ll also be able to keep tracking the click metrics for each link.
2. Find a shortened link fast
f your dashboard is already filling up with links, tracking down a specific one can take time. The new built-in search tool lets you find any link quickly, without having to scroll through your entire list of shortened links..
3. Automate everything with the ja.cat API
This one’s for the more advanced users. With the new API, you can integrate ja.cat directly into your application and automate the creation and management of links without having to access the dashboard every time.
Imagine you want to automatically generate a short link every time you publish a new post on your website. With the API, your system can do it on its own.
