Twenty years ago, we made history. The birth of .cat marked a global milestone: for the first time, a language and a culture gained their own voice on the Internet. We are proud of the path we have taken.

Study on geolinguistic domains and AI search engines: The project “Assessing GeoTLD’s performance for enhanced Internet accessibility: An open source methodological approach”, led by the .cat domain, was selected in 2025 as one of the 19 projects supported by the ICANN Grant Program.
Dotació, 15 years with the educational community: We celebrate 15 years offering teachers the same tools used by digital professionals so that students in 5th and 6th grade of Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training discover that the Internet can also be a creative, free space in Catalan.
Universal Acceptance: You have the right to the correct representation of your language and cultural identity on the Internet. From the .cat domain, we fight for your right to write your language correctly online.
Ja.cat: We offer you the ja.cat link shortener. This Catalan shortener is a useful and free tool to trim and customize links (URLs).
Va.cat: A free service in Catalan that allows us to share files of up to 2GB over the Internet using email addresses, with some configuration options to customize the delivery.
