How to register the package for organisations and AFAs with the .cat domain

Would you like your organisation to have a digital presence in Catalan? The .cat domain offers special conditions for associations, foundations, AFAs (parent associations) and other non-profit organisations.

Follow this guide to apply for the offer step by step.

These are the 3 packages available:

• 1 .cat domain for €6 a year: ideal if you already have hosting and want to set up a redirect or protect your organisation’s name on the Internet.
• Web hosting + 10 email accounts for €35 a year: for organisations that already have their .cat domain and want to add web hosting and email.
• Domain + hosting + 10 email accounts for €40 a year: the complete package to start your digital presence from scratch.

The reduced price applies to both registration and renewals.

Who is eligible?

Any non-profit organisation registered in the register of organisations of its territory: associations, foundations, AFAs, professional associations, federations, branches and academies.

Please note that the offer is exclusively for new domains. It cannot be applied to an existing .cat domain.

How to request the package: step by step

1. Go to .cat domain organisations page: https://domini.cat/en/organisations

2. Check that the domain you want is available: you can do this directly from the organisations page on the .cat domain website. The offer is only valid for new domains.

3. Fill in the request form with your organisation’s details: name, type of organisation, tax ID (NIF), registration number, contact person’s details, the domain you want and which package best suits your needs.

4. Check your email: you will receive the discount code along with instructions to activate the offer.
5. Register the domain using the discount code, following the instructions you will have received by email. You can choose the registrar depending on the package requested:

• .cat domain (€6/year): you can choose the registrar that best suits your needs from those taking part in the offer: cdmon, Dinahosting, DonDominio and Entorno Digital.
• Web hosting + 10 email accounts and Domain + hosting + 10 email accounts: the registrar participating in these offers is Dinahosting.

And how do I renew it?

Renewal is not automatic. Once the domain is registered, it is important to select the manual renewal option so that you can apply the discount code. Every year, before the expiry date, contact entitats@domini.cat to request the renewal discount code.
